A man in his 40s is needless after a “indispensable” fireplace ripped by design of a Gatineau multi-unit housing complex at 808 Rue Saint-Louis.

Sixty firefighters spent seven hours combating the blaze after it broke out around 1 p.m. Saturday, with “important wound to the constructing,” Gatineau fireplace officers said in a statement.

One man became found needless on the scene, and one lady became treated in health heart and released. Their identities were not released.

Any other four of us were displaced by the fireside and were positioned within the care of the Crimson Incorrect on the scene, officers said.
