LAS VEGAS (AP) — An self sustaining vehicle firm has been checking out its cars in Las Vegas with out a human backup driver willing to take withhold a watch on in an emergency.

The firm Motional, a joint endeavor between between Hyundai and Aptiv, an auto tech firm, announced it has been checking out its driverless cars in Las Vegas in February.

The firm, which has an settlement with ridesharing firm Lyft to operate a truly-driverless service in 2023, received permission in November from the Nevada Division of Motor Automobiles to originate the assessments with out a relief-up driver.
