Tipping Point Australia has quickly become a beloved fixture in Australian television, captivating audiences with its mix of trivia and chance. The show’s allure was on full display during a recent celebrity special, where comedian Joel Creasey made a shocking confession to host Todd Woodbridge.

During the episode, Creasey admitted, “I watch this show every single day at work but on silent,” leaving Woodbridge momentarily speechless. Despite the potential repercussions from Creasey’s employer, Woodbridge expressed his excitement at having such a dynamic lineup of guests, including radio and TV personalities Kate Langbroek and Nick Cody, join the show.

The Celebrity Showdown

The trio of celebrities is set to compete for a $40,000 cash prize, which will be donated to their chosen charities. Kate Langbroek, known for her fearless humor, is playing for My Room Children’s Charity. Meanwhile, Joel Creasey, with his quick wit, aims to support Breakthrough T1D. Rounding out the lineup is Nick Cody, a stand-up comedian and Fox FM breakfast host, who is playing for Foodbank.

The enthusiasm among the celebrity contestants is palpable, as each hopes to outwit the machine and secure a win for their respective causes. However, Woodbridge humorously pointed out the lack of financial success among the trio, quipping, “None of you have any money,” to which Creasey retorted, “You sound like my accountant.”

Previous Celebrity Specials

This celebrity special is part of a series of similar events that have captivated audiences. In July 2025, The Block judge Shaynna Blaze clinched a $40,000 win for Voice of Change, competing against co-stars Scott Cam and Dan Reilly. Another memorable episode featured Travel Guides veterans and best mates going head-to-head in May 2025. Tennis legend John Mailman also emerged victorious in a charity special against fellow players Sam Stosur and Dylan Alcott.

Todd Woodbridge’s Unexpected Journey

For Todd Woodbridge, transitioning from a celebrated tennis career to a television game show host was an unexpected turn. Despite his extensive 15-year experience in sports broadcasting, many doubted his ability to lead Tipping Point Australia. However, two years later, the show has become a national favorite, and Woodbridge has earned the Logie for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

“It’s really rewarding, because at the beginning of the show, I really felt like I had to prove to a lot of people that I could pull the show off and that I was actually deserving of getting that opportunity,” Woodbridge shared with 9Entertainment.

Encouraged by his family, including his wife Natasha and children Zara and Beau, Woodbridge embraced the challenge. “They knew that I love to talk, love to engage with people and Tash and the kids knew it would work,” he said. Their support was instrumental in his decision to take on the role.

As Tipping Point continues to entertain audiences, viewers eagerly anticipate the upcoming celebrity special.
