This new version, currently dubbed “Natural Light,” is set to succeed the previous Nxtpaper 4.0. It retains its core functionality of reducing blue light emissions while introducing significant advancements. Previously, TCL’s Nxtpaper screens were built on LCD panels, but this new development marks a significant leap forward.
Revolutionary Display Features
TCL has engineered three key improvements to make this new version stand out. Firstly, the company has achieved a remarkable 90% circular polarization rate, which significantly reduces glare. Additionally, the blue light purification technology now reduces emissions by 15%, bringing it down to as low as 2.9%. Moreover, the screen can automatically adjust brightness and color temperature to mimic natural light patterns, aiding in maintaining healthy circadian rhythms.
With a stunning 3,200 nits of brightness and 100% P3 color gamut coverage, the display is both vibrant and easy on the eyes.

Under the hood, the tablets are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, with options for 6GB or 10GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. They support microSD cards up to 2TB, ensuring ample storage space. The 8,000mAh battery, along with a 5MP front camera and 8MP rear camera, rounds out the hardware features. Although connectivity options like Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 are somewhat outdated, the tablets offer a solid audio experience with four speakers and a single microphone.
Design and Availability
The design of the A1 Plus is noteworthy, with a textured rear panel that provides a comfortable grip and an elegant circular camera module. The device is lightweight and feels robust, making it a practical choice for everyday use. The A1 Plus will be available in Space Blue, with a US release scheduled for April or May. The A1 Plus Nxtpaper, however, will be exclusive to the European market later this year.
