Samsung is making waves in the audio industry with the unveiling of its 2026 Australian lifestyle audio range, featuring the latest Q-Series soundbars, Music Studio WiFi speakers, and Sound Tower speakers. This expansion aims to transform living rooms, social spaces, and home cinema setups across the country. The new lineup will be showcased at the renowned CES 2026 in Las Vegas, spotlighting Samsung’s commitment to integrated home entertainment solutions.

The updated collection emphasizes seamless integration with Samsung TVs, soundbars, and speakers, all controllable through a unified ecosystem and app. According to Samsung, this move responds to the growing demand from Australians who use music for relaxation and entertainment across various settings and occasions.

Innovative Audio Solutions for Every Lifestyle

Simon Howe, Director of AV at Samsung Australia, highlighted the company’s vision: “Almost a decade ago, Samsung introduced the concept of lifestyle TVs, combining revolutionary yet highly sophisticated designs with powerful performance to elevate home theatre experiences. Today, Samsung is bringing a new series of lifestyle audio devices, offering Australians diversity in design, performance, and intelligent connectivity that extend music and entertainment experiences.”

“Samsung Australia insights show that almost two-thirds of Australians relax by listening to music. Our 2026 audio line-up has been designed to enhance these experiences and elevate living space décor no matter your lifestyle,” said Howe.

The flagship Q-Series HW-Q990H soundbar is set to lead Samsung Australia’s 2026 AV lineup. This model is tailored for customers seeking a cinema-style experience without the complexity of a full component system. It features an 11.1.4-channel configuration, combining a 7.0.2-channel main bar with 4.0.2-channel rear speakers and a dual 8-inch compact active subwoofer, offering a space-efficient option for bass enthusiasts.

Key Features of the HW-Q990H

  • Sound Elevation: Shifts dialogue towards the screen’s center for natural placement.
  • Auto Volume: Manages sound levels across channels, reducing sudden loudness changes.
  • AI-Based Tuning: Adjusts output based on content and room conditions.

Local pricing and availability details for the HW-Q990H are yet to be announced.

Versatile Audio Devices for Modern Homes

Samsung is also introducing an all-in-one Q-Series soundbar, the HW-QS90H, designed for those who prefer minimalistic setups with fewer boxes and cables. This model features a Convertible Fit design, allowing for wall mounting or placement on furniture. Its built-in gyro sensor adjusts channel distribution based on the bar’s orientation.

The HW-QS90H boasts a 7.1.2-channel system with 13 drivers, including nine wide-range speakers. A built-in Quad Bass Woofer section delivers robust low frequencies without the need for a separate subwoofer.

Music Studio Speakers: A Blend of Art and Sound

Samsung’s Music Studio WiFi speakers, available in LS70H and LS50H models, cater to customers who value industrial design as much as sound quality. The series features a dot-based visual theme by French designer Erwan Bouroullec, drawing inspiration from music notation and visual art.

The Music Studio 7 (LS70H) offers 3.1.1-channel spatial audio with left, front, right, and top-firing speakers. It supports Hi-Resolution Audio processing up to 24-bit/96kHz and can function as a standalone unit or integrate with Samsung TVs via Q-Symphony for enhanced stereo or surround setups.

“The Music Studio 5 (LS50H) is ideal for apartments and design-focused interiors, featuring a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters with a built-in waveguide for consistent sound dispersion,” Samsung noted.

Both models include Wi-Fi casting, streaming service support, voice control, and Bluetooth connectivity, utilizing Samsung’s Seamless Codec for maintaining audio quality over wireless connections.

Unified Ecosystem and Future Prospects

Samsung’s leadership in the global soundbar market, as evidenced by Omdia data, underscores its commitment to innovation. The company’s Samsung Audio Lab in California plays a crucial role in tuning and acoustic engineering for new products.

For 2026, Samsung is emphasizing Q-Symphony, a system that links Samsung TVs, soundbars, and WiFi speakers into a single sound setup. This allows for up to five sound devices to connect to a Samsung TV simultaneously, offering a cohesive audio experience.

SpaceFit Sound Pro further enhances this ecosystem by analyzing room layout and device placement, adjusting channel output for clearer dialogue and distinct surround effects. Wi-Fi connectivity and the SmartThings app provide a central control hub, enabling users to adjust sound settings, create speaker groups, and access streaming services through a single interface.

Rounding out the 2026 audio portfolio, Samsung is expanding its Sound Tower series with the ST50F and ST40F models, targeting outdoor events and social gatherings. These additions complement the Music Studio speakers and Q-Series soundbars, solidifying Samsung’s position as a leader in lifestyle audio solutions.

As Samsung prepares to launch its 2026 audio range, Australian consumers can look forward to innovative products that enhance their home entertainment experiences. Local pricing and availability details will be announced closer to the launch date, promising a new era of audio excellence for Australian homes.
