samsung-expands-2026-australian-audio-line-up-with-innovative-range

Samsung has announced a significant expansion of its Australian home audio offerings for 2026, unveiling a new range that includes Q-Series soundbars, Music Studio WiFi speakers, and Sound Tower speakers. This strategic move aims to enhance living rooms, social spaces, and home cinema setups across the country. The new line-up will be showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, highlighting Samsung’s commitment to creating a more integrated ecosystem for audio and visual entertainment.

The updated collection emphasizes seamless integration with Samsung TVs, soundbars, and speakers, all controlled through a unified app. This initiative responds to growing consumer demand in Australia, where music is a key component of relaxation and entertainment across various settings.

Innovative Features and Design

Samsung’s new audio range reflects the company’s evolution from its pioneering lifestyle TVs introduced nearly a decade ago. According to Simon Howe, Director of AV at Samsung Australia, the 2026 line-up is designed to enhance music and entertainment experiences while complementing home décor. “Samsung is bringing a new series of lifestyle audio devices, offering Australians diversity in design, performance, and intelligent connectivity,” Howe stated.

“Almost two-thirds of Australians relax by listening to music. Our 2026 audio line-up has been designed to enhance these experiences and elevate living space décor no matter your lifestyle.” – Simon Howe, Director – AV, Samsung Australia

Flagship Q-Series Soundbar

At the forefront of the new offerings is the flagship Q-Series HW-Q990H soundbar. This model caters to consumers seeking a cinema-style audio experience without the complexity of a full component system. The HW-Q990H introduces “Sound Elevation,” a feature that centralizes dialogue for more natural audio placement. Additionally, “Auto Volume” manages sound levels across various channels, minimizing abrupt changes in loudness.

The soundbar boasts an 11.1.4-channel configuration, combining a 7.0.2-channel main bar with 4.0.2-channel rear speakers and a dual 8-inch compact active subwoofer. This setup is designed for space efficiency while delivering robust bass. Up-firing channels and AI-based tuning further enhance the sound field, adapting output based on content and room conditions. Pricing and availability for the HW-Q990H are yet to be announced.

All-in-One Soundbar Solution

For those preferring a more streamlined setup, Samsung introduces the HW-QS90H all-in-one soundbar. Its Convertible Fit design allows for flexible placement, either mounted on a wall or positioned on furniture. A built-in gyro sensor adjusts channel distribution based on orientation, ensuring optimal sound regardless of placement.

This 7.1.2-channel system includes 13 drivers, among them nine wide-range speakers, and features a Quad Bass Woofer for low frequencies without needing a separate subwoofer.

Introducing Music Studio Speakers

The Music Studio WiFi speakers, available in LS70H and LS50H models, are aimed at consumers who value both design and sound quality. These speakers, designed by French designer Erwan Bouroullec, feature a dot-based visual theme that complements Samsung’s broader ecosystem.

The Music Studio 7 (LS70H) offers 3.1.1-channel spatial audio and includes Samsung’s Audio Lab Pattern Control Technology, which manages signal overlap for distinct directionality. It supports Hi-Resolution Audio processing and can operate as a standalone unit or integrate with other Samsung products for enhanced stereo or surround sound setups.

The Music Studio 5 (LS50H) is tailored for smaller spaces, featuring a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters with a waveguide for consistent sound. It supports Wi-Fi casting, streaming services, voice control, and Bluetooth, maintaining audio quality through Samsung’s Seamless Codec technology.

Unified Ecosystem and Future Prospects

Samsung’s leadership in the global soundbar market, as reported by Omdia, is attributed to the expertise of the Samsung Audio Lab in California. For 2026, Samsung is enhancing its Q-Symphony system, enabling up to five sound devices to connect to a Samsung TV simultaneously. This system, along with SpaceFit Sound Pro, aims to optimize audio based on room layout and device placement.

Wi-Fi connectivity and the SmartThings app form the core of Samsung’s control interface, allowing users to manage sound settings, create speaker groups, and access streaming services through a single platform. This integration reduces the need for multiple remotes and enhances user convenience.

Sound Tower Series

Rounding out the 2026 audio portfolio is the Sound Tower series, including the ST50F and ST40F models, designed for outdoor events and social gatherings. These speakers complement the Music Studio and Q-Series soundbars, offering versatile audio solutions for various occasions.

Samsung plans to release local pricing and availability details for the entire audio range, including the Sound Tower, closer to the launch date. As Samsung continues to innovate, its 2026 audio line-up is poised to redefine home entertainment experiences for Australian consumers.
