SIIMA 2023: Ponniyin Selvan 1 wins Best Film; Kamal Haasan, R Madhavan, Keerthy Suresh, Trisha bag top acting honours
The awards for Telugu and Kannada cinema were presented on Friday night, and the Malayalam and Tamil cinema awards were presented on Saturday night.
The second leg of the 11th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2023, honouring the best films and performances of the Tamil and Malayalam film industries from the past year, was held in a star-studded ceremony at the Duai World Trade Centre, Dubai on September 16.
The action thriller Vikram and the period drama Ponniyin Selvan 1 took home the major awards in the Tamil cinema categories. For Malayalam cinema, the awards were divided between multiple films such as Nna Thaan Case Kodu, Thallumaala, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, and Hridayam among others.
