Ameesha Patel congratulates Shah Rukh Khan for ‘creating Gadar at the box office’ with Jawan’s record-breaking opening

As Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has created the record for the highest ever opening at the box office for a Hindi film by earning Rs 65.50 crore on its first day of release on September 7, multiple celebrities including SS Rajamouli, Anand Mahindra, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, have congratulated the superstar on their social media handles.

On Saturday, September 9, Ameesha Patel also took to her X (previously known as Twitter) and Instagram accounts and wrote, “Congrats @iamsrk for once again creating GADAR at the box office…who better then you can do this magic…we love u…”, and added multiple hearts and clapping emojis.

The acress smartly plugged in her own recent blockbuster Gadar 2 as she wished SRK for the massive success. Gadar 2, released on August 11, has Ameesha and Sunny Deol reprising their roles of Sakeena and Tara Singh from the first part, Gadar released 22 years ago in 2001.

Gadar 2 has now become the second highest grossing Hindi movie in India after Shah Rukh Khan’s own Pathaan, which hit theatres in January earlier this year. While Pathaan has earned Rs 534 crore net in India, the Sunny Deol-starrer has earned Rs 512 crore and is still running in the theatres.

But, it seems that Shah Rukh won’t let Gadar 2 break Pathaan record with his latest release Jawan. The Atlee directorial, also straring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance) has already minted Rs 112 crore net in India within two days of its release and is expected to grow bigger and bigger.
