Springbok captain Siya Kolisi expressed his gratitude after meeting former Bafana Bafana stars Benni McCarthy, Moeneeb Josephs and Siyabonga Nomvethe.

“When you meet your heroes so honored! Ndiyabulela grootmans phakamisa,” Kolisi said on Instagram.

Kolisi recently moved to KwaZulu-Natal after signing a mega deal with rugby side Sharks.

The 29-year-old ended an 11-year stint with the Cape franchise Western Province Rugby Union (WPRU) as he opted against signing for an overseas club.

Meanwhile, McCarthy recently returned to South African shores from Scotland following his appointment as head coach of Premier Soccer League (PSL) side AmaZulu.

The 43-year-old, still the record holder for the most Bafana Bafana goals (31), lured Josephs and Nomvethe as his chosen technical staff.
