multimedia-technology-becomes-key-distributor-for-hp-s-ai-solutions-in-australia

Multimedia Technology (MMT) has been appointed as a specialist Tier 1 distribution partner in Australia for HP Personal Systems (PPS), effective November 1. This strategic partnership aims to extend the reach of Z by HP workstations, commercial displays, performance accessories, care packs, and software, including HP Anyware, across the nation.

The agreement establishes a focused route to market for advanced workstation solutions, enabling HP and MMT to meet the rising demand from small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and AI-first technology enterprises. Under this new appointment, MMT will leverage its nationwide network of value-added resellers, system integrators, and managed service providers to deliver comprehensive, AI-ready solutions. These solutions will pair Z by HP workstations with NVIDIA RTX professional GPUs and infrastructure from MMT’s strategic alliance ecosystem, supported by expert pre and post-sales services.

Innovative Product Launch: The ZGX Nano AI Station

The partnership coincides with HP’s upcoming launch of the ZGX Nano AI Station, their version of the NVIDIA DGX Spark. This product introduces a new category: Personal AI Supercomputers, aiming to “democratise AI.” The ZGX Nano AI Station provides the full hardware and software stack needed for AI developers to build, test, and optimise models locally, ensuring both security and flexibility.

“This is a match made for the market we serve,” said Johan Meyer, CEO of Multimedia Technology. “Partners are asking for the performance, reliability, and ecosystem depth that Z by HP brings, and they want it packaged as complete, deploy-today solutions.”

Strategic Benefits of the Partnership

The collaboration between HP and MMT delivers a specialist distribution channel for workstation solutions, focusing on Z by HP performance platforms, commercial displays, accessories, care services, and software. This partnership provides direct access to NVIDIA workstation GPU resellers and NVIDIA Partner Network (NPN) partners, enabling certified, end-to-end AI and visualisation solutions for the channel.

Additionally, the agreement allows for expanded co-branded marketing between NVIDIA and Z by HP, with integrated campaigns, enablement, and demand generation to accelerate the pipeline for partners. Chris Hewlett, HP Australia’s commercial channel director, emphasized the importance of this partnership.

“HP is doubling down on the innovators powering Australia’s next wave of growth from design studios and engineering firms to AI-first startups,” Hewlett stated. “MMT’s specialist reach, NVIDIA ecosystem connectivity, and hands-on enablement make them the ideal Tier 1 partner to put Z by HP in more customers’ hands, faster, with the support and services partners expect.”

Implications for the AI and Tech Market

MMT will distribute and support Z by HP mobile and desktop workstations, with configurations validated for AI development, data science, media and entertainment, architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), healthcare imaging, and advanced visualisation. These solutions are complemented by HP commercial displays, performance accessories, HP Care Pack services, and HP Anyware for secure remote access and collaboration.

The move represents a significant shift in how AI and high-end visualisation technologies are delivered to the Australian market. By providing performance-guaranteed, supportable solutions, MMT and HP are transforming AI and visualisation from niche projects into competitive advantages for businesses.

“Channel partners don’t want a component hunt; they want a performance-guaranteed, supportable solution they can stand behind,” Meyer explained. “Together with HP, we’re turning AI and high-end visualisation from a science project into a competitive advantage for every customer.”

As the demand for AI and advanced computing solutions continues to grow, this partnership between MMT and HP is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology in Australia. With a focus on accessibility and practicality, the collaboration promises to make advanced computing solutions more attainable for ambitious Australian businesses.
