Meghan Trainor, the acclaimed pop star known for hits like “Lips Are Movin’,” was spotted in public for the first time since welcoming her third child, a daughter, via surrogate on Sunday. The 32-year-old appeared overwhelmed yet content as she was seen makeup-free, talking on her cell phone in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Trainor, who has recently made her acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s “The Beauty,” which premiered on FX the same night, was dressed casually in a pink jacket and matching leggings. Her ensemble was completed with white socks, trainers, and stylish pink-tinted glasses, while her long blonde locks were loosely curled.

Earlier this month, Trainor emphasized her non-affiliation with what she described as Ashley Tisdale’s ‘toxic mom group.’ She and her husband, Daryl Sabara, 33, are ecstatic about their new daughter, whom they have named Mikey Moon. In an interview with People, Trainor opened up about their decision to use a surrogate.

Choosing Surrogacy: A Personal Journey

‘It wasn’t our first choice,’ Trainor revealed, ‘but we had endless conversations with our doctors on this journey, and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family.’ She expressed her gratitude for the option of surrogacy, stating, ‘We are forever grateful for that option.’

The couple, who are already parents to two sons, Riley, four, and Barry, two, decided on surrogacy after Trainor carried her first two pregnancies herself. She emphasized the beauty and validity of surrogacy as a family-building option, saying, ‘I want people to know that surrogacy is just another beautiful way to build a family. It’s not something to whisper about or judge. It’s rooted in trust, science, love, and teamwork.’

Praising the Surrogate

Trainor was effusive in her praise for the surrogate, describing her as ‘one of the most selfless, strong and loving people I’ve ever met.’ She continued, ‘We felt so connected throughout the entire journey, and I’ll always be grateful for the care and love she showed our daughter.’

Trainor shared her joy on Instagram, announcing the arrival of Mikey Moon Trainor on January 20. ‘Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible,’ she posted alongside a series of photos.

Family and Future Aspirations

Trainor has been open about her dreams of having a large family. In a previous interview with People, she shared, ‘Where I am right now is far beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. I always wanted a family. Check. Now I need some daughters.’

Reflecting on her journey, Trainor said, ‘Now 19-year-old Meghan putting out “All About that Bass” is stoked; she’s so proud, like, “I didn’t know you could do that.” It took 10 years to become brave, but I’m finally thriving.’

In an essay for Today, Trainor discussed the challenges of parenthood, stating, ‘Being a parent isn’t easy – especially not today. And yet, being a mom is my favorite thing in the world. Parents just need more support.’

‘I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I know that’s what my heart really wants, so I’m going to figure it out with my team of soldiers and angels around me. We will find a way…’ – Meghan Trainor

Looking Ahead

Alongside the joy of welcoming a new family member, Trainor is also preparing to release her seventh studio album, “Toy With Me,” set to hit shelves later this year on April 24. The singer, who has been candid about her personal health journey, including losing 60 pounds after taking Mountjaro and undergoing a breast augmentation, continues to inspire fans with her music and personal stories.

As Trainor and her family enjoy this new chapter, they remain grateful for the support and love from their fans and community. The pop star’s journey with surrogacy highlights the diverse ways families can grow, underscoring the importance of acceptance and understanding in the modern world.
