Speaking about her elder son Arin, born in 2003, Madhuri Dixit noted that while he briefly entertained the idea of joining the film industry, his true passion lies in music. “The older guy had some inklings of maybe wanting to be in movies, but I think his passion is music. So, he produces his music and he does all that,” she revealed in an interview with Mid-day.
Arin’s journey reflects a blend of creativity and academic prowess. According to Dixit, he pursued a minor in music and a major in computer science engineering during his school years. Now a graduate, Arin has embarked on a career at Apple, where he is involved in projects related to noise cancellation.
“He produces his own music. Even in school, he did music as minor and computer science engineering as his major,” Dixit elaborated, underscoring Arin’s commitment to his dual interests.

In contrast, Dixit’s younger son Ryan, born in 2005, has shown no interest in the film industry, gravitating instead towards science and technology. “The younger one is in college at USC. The younger one is a STEM guy. He is into technology and engineering, math, he is amazing though,” Dixit shared.
When questioned about whether she deliberately kept her children away from Bollywood, Dixit clarified that the decision was entirely theirs. “I didn’t really keep them away. I have taken them when they wanted to come with me, and if they didn’t, I respected that,” she explained.
