LG Electronics has marked its partnership with MasterChef Australia by hosting a unique event that showcased its latest lineup of kitchen appliances featured on the popular television series. The event, titled “A Taste of the Good Life,” took place shortly after the conclusion of Season 17 on Network 10, offering attendees an immersive experience with LG’s cutting-edge kitchen solutions.
The event featured cooking and entertainment workshops led by MasterChef Australia contestant Declan Cleary, providing participants with a hands-on opportunity to explore LG’s innovative appliances. This collaboration underscores LG’s commitment to enhancing the culinary experience for home cooks across Australia.
Cooking Demonstrations and Appliance Showcases
Central to the event were practical demonstrations, including a cooking masterclass and live product feature showcases. LG’s appliances, such as ovens, fridges, microwaves, and cooktops, which recently appeared on MasterChef Australia, were put to the test during these workshops.
Shannon Tweedie, Marketing Manager at LG Electronics ANZ, emphasized the company’s dedication to the Australian market and its support for home cooks through technology.
“LG has long been a trusted name in Australian kitchens, and we’re incredibly proud to now offer the complete kitchen solution, empowering every Australian to confidently pursue their culinary passions,” Tweedie stated. “Our partnership with MasterChef Australia perfectly embodies this shared vision, showcasing how LG innovation can support even the most high-stakes cooking.”
Declan Cleary, known for his relatable style and passion for cooking, hosted a hands-on masterclass. He demonstrated the use of LG’s appliances to create restaurant-style dishes, highlighting the accessibility and ease of use for everyday home cooks.
“For me, cooking is about joy and connection, and my journey on MasterChef taught me that anyone, with the right tools and a little passion, can create incredible meals,” Cleary remarked.
Interactive Workshops and Innovative Features
The event was structured around a series of cooking and lifestyle demonstrations. In addition to Cleary’s culinary session, attendees participated in a mixology workshop using LG’s Craft Ice, which produces slow-melting round ice balls for cocktails, and a food photography tutorial for capturing images of dishes.
Guests had the opportunity to use LG’s induction cooktop, featuring fast-heating and flexible cooking modes, as well as BlueEasy Clean steam cleaning for ovens. The appliances on display highlighted user-focused technology, such as the InstaView “knock-knock” feature for both fridges and ovens, as well as auto-hood activation connecting cooktop and rangehood via the LG ThinQ app.
In a demonstration, Cleary showcased how the ovens’ pro cooking modes could be used to steam fish and air fry corn, while easy sliding touch controls and LED lights on the cooktop were highlighted as key usability features.
Television Partnership and Broader Implications
Since the inception of this partnership, LG and MasterChef Australia have collaborated on multiple activations. During the season, the InstaView fridges appeared in a Mystery Box episode, revealing secret ingredients with their illuminated glass panel. The campaign has also involved 2024 MasterChef winner Nat Thaipun, who worked with LG to create a dinner party content series.
The kitchen appliance range showcased at the event includes ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, fridges, microwaves, and dishwashers. LG is focused on expanding this offering in Australia, following the launch of its cooking range last year and further extension in the current year.
The event forms part of LG’s broader aim to demonstrate how its home appliances can support real-life cooking experiences and domestic entertaining. The company has positioned the MasterChef Australia partnership as a way to present its solutions in practice, with a focus on reliability and ease of use in the home environment.
As LG continues to innovate and expand its presence in the Australian market, this collaboration with MasterChef Australia highlights the potential for technology to transform everyday cooking into a more enjoyable and efficient experience. With the success of “A Taste of the Good Life,” LG has set a new standard for how brands can engage with consumers through interactive and experiential events.
