A majority of developers from the popular games Hearthstone and Warcraft Rumble have formed a union under the Communications Workers of America (CWA). The newly organized unit, which includes over 100 workers, will become members of CWA Local 9510 in Irvine, California. This move has received recognition from Microsoft, the parent company of Activision Blizzard, marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to improve working conditions within the gaming industry.
