It all started with some scarves. Back in Australia after nearly a decade working at a Los Angeles fashion brand, Kerryn Langer had a two-fold mission: to make every woman feel uniquely beautiful and to achieve this on a large scale. “I did my first Etsy market with these scarves and ponchos in Australia, and everyone loved it and I sold out,” she explained. “From that day, I knew this was it. It’s scarves, it’s ponchos, it’s accessories.”
The business she’s referring to is Arms Of Eve, the global jewellery and accessories brand co-founded in 2017 with her husband Aaron. The brand offers everything from waterproof and tarnish-free jewellery to hats, bags, clothing, and swimwear lines. The range is as diverse as its appeal is universal.
“There are so many different styles and ways you can style it that it really does appeal to everyone,” Kerryn says. Inspired by her travels to Bali, India, and Thailand, Arms Of Eve remains a quintessentially Aussie brand that is as much a lifestyle as a fashion choice. Despite its celebrity clientele, the brand maintains its ethos that “accessories are for everyone” with accessible price points.
The Path to Global Recognition
Although Arms Of Eve is now renowned for its jewellery, it was Kerryn’s initial sales of bags, scarves, and ponchos at Sydney’s Bondi and Paddington markets that first attracted the attention of online fashion giant THE ICONIC. “The Iconic found us at the markets. That put us on the map in a major way,” she recalls.
The jewellery line evolved almost serendipitously. “I actually just loaded it without permission,” Kerryn admits. “I started with a few pieces, and the cowry shells became bestsellers. So, obviously, that just kept it going.”
Adapting to a Changing World
Then came the pandemic. With everyone home and online, the opportunity for growth was unprecedented. “At that point, 80 percent of our sales were coming from the markets and THE ICONIC,” Kerryn says. “I knew I had to invest in Meta, the advertising and marketing side.”
Operating from her home, Kerryn and her team managed to scale the business significantly. “We had a full operation from the house… We only really left the house two years ago.” Today, Arms Of Eve operates out of an office in Zetland, boasts nine stores across Australia, and has surpassed the $20 million mark in revenue.
Paradiso Collection: A Celebration of Summer
Ask Kerryn about her latest Paradiso collection, and her excitement is palpable. “It’s an exciting one, it really does exude summer and the beach,” she says. The collection takes you on a journey from day to night, poolside to party, with a new swim color and resort wear that embodies the essence of summer.
Having reviewed some key pieces myself, I can attest to Kerryn’s claims. Her pieces are perfect companions for summer—durable enough for swimming, stylish enough for any occasion. The range truly offers something for everyone, from sunglasses to swimwear, bags to jewels, and even their first-ever candle.
From Humble Beginnings to a Fashion Empire
Reflecting on the brand’s journey, it’s remarkable to think it all started with a scarf. Kerryn’s vision and commitment to inclusivity and quality have transformed Arms Of Eve into a global fashion empire.
