Five Tamil films join the box office race on Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ release date?

We already informed you that the Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ is postponing from the September 28 release to the year end. Now, multiple Tamil movies have officially announced their theatrical release on the long weekend September 28. There are four holidays in the specified date including the weekend.

Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara’s upcoming thriller ‘Iraivan’ is all set to hit the screens on September 28. The date was officially confirmed today in the movie’s trailer. Produced by Passion Studios, the arresting psycho thriller is directed by I Ahmed of ‘Endrendum Punnagai’ and ‘Manithan’ fame. It has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Vijay Antony starrer ‘Ratham’ is a thriller as well, which is directed by CS Amudhan of ‘Tamil Padam’ fame. The director is known for his comedy films and getting into the thriller zone with this film. Today, the makers officially announced that Ratham is coming to cinemas on September 28. The film also stars Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha and Ramya Nambeesan.

Harish Kalyan’s ‘Parking’ announced its official release date as September 28 a few days ago. The film is produced by Passion Studios and Soldiers Factory. This movie is directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan with music by Sam CS. It also stars Indhuja and MS Bhaskar in lead roles. Passion Studios are releasing their two films on the same date.

Siddharth’s upcoming drama film, ‘Chiththa’, confirmed its release on September 28 recently. The movie is directed by SU Arunkumar of ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’ and ‘Sethupathi’ fame. Produced by Etaki Entertainment, it has songs composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and background scores by Vishal Chandrasekhar. It is touted to be a different film in Siddharth’s career.

‘Uyir Thamizhukku’ is an upcoming film starring director-actor Ameer and Chandini in the lead role. The political movie is directed by Adham Bava and has music by veteran composer Vidyasagar. V House Productions and Moon Pictures officially announced with a new poster that Uyir Thamizhukku is releasing on September 28.
