Bali’s renowned Waterbom Waterpark has been crowned the Best Waterpark in the World in the prestigious Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best 2025. This accolade is not only a triumph for Waterbom but also a testament to Bali’s status as a top-tier global destination.
The announcement, made last month, has been met with elation by the Waterbom team, who are still celebrating the news. The park not only clinched the top spot as the world’s best waterpark but also secured high rankings in several other award categories.
Waterbom’s Global Recognition
In addition to being named the best waterpark, Waterbom Bali was ranked third in the World’s Top 25 Amusement and Waterparks, making it the highest-ranked waterpark globally. The first and second places in this category were claimed by Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and Beto Carrero World in Penha, Brazil, respectively.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards are highly esteemed within the tourism industry, as they are determined by year-round feedback, reviews, and votes from actual travelers and visitors. These awards celebrate excellence in travel and are bestowed upon less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings, underscoring Waterbom’s exceptional guest experience and commitment to quality.
A Legacy of Excellence
Despite its smaller size compared to other top attractions, Waterbom’s global victory is significant, especially as it has maintained the title of TripAdvisor’s number one waterpark in Asia for nine consecutive years. This achievement reflects the park’s dedication to innovation and guest satisfaction.
Waterbom CEO, Sayan Gulino, expressed that the award is a testament to the passion and dedication of the team. He stated,
“This award means so much to us because it comes directly from our guests and we’ve always worked hard to be more than just a waterpark – we aim to reimagine traditional expectations, delivering an experience with a strong focus on care, a boutique approach, with respect for culture and environmental responsibility.”
Innovative Attractions and Sustainable Vision
Innovation is at the core of Waterbom’s mission. Recently, the park unveiled six new waterslides in the Zuluu Hills area, designed to thrill both kids and families with their twists, turns, and splashes. This addition has already become a favorite among visitors.
Beyond entertainment, Waterbom is committed to sustainability. The park has set an ambitious goal to achieve net zero emissions by 2033, aiming to become the first Asian tourism business and the first waterpark globally to reach this milestone. Gulino highlighted this commitment during the park’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, stating,
“Our energy sources will be 100% renewable, and our business will also be removing more carbon from the atmosphere than we emit. Throughout this process, we will keep ourselves accountable and provide data and reports to the public to show transparency.”
Looking Ahead
Waterbom Bali continues to operate seven days a week, offering a variety of ticket options to accommodate different budgets and group sizes. Visitors can purchase tickets online or upon arrival at the park, located on Jalan Kartika Plaza Tuban in the heart of Kuta.
This latest recognition as the world’s best waterpark not only enhances Waterbom’s reputation but also reinforces Bali’s position as a leading destination for travelers seeking exceptional experiences.
