Australia’s first Dave & Buster’s is set to officially open its doors in Clarkson this April.
Australia is set to welcome its first Dave & Buster’s, an iconic American-style sports bar and arcade, in Clarkson this April. This highly anticipated opening comes more than a year after the project secured planning approval, marking a significant expansion for the brand outside North America.
The 2000 square meter venue will be strategically located east of Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, on the site previously occupied by The Good Guys warehouse. This entertainment hub will feature a custom-built 40-foot sports screen and over 30 ultra-HD screens broadcasting live sports, alongside a “mega” arcade complete with a dedicated Win Room and a full bar offering an American-inspired menu tailored to Australian tastes.
Entertainment Landmark in the Making
Operated by NightOwl Entertainment, a Western Australia-based hospitality group known for popular venues like The Lookout in Scarborough and Flight Club, the Clarkson venue is poised to become a northern suburb landmark. NightOwl Entertainment CEO David Heaton expressed his excitement about the project, emphasizing its potential to elevate the local entertainment scene.
“This venue is truly next level, and we can’t wait to open the doors and show Perth what we’ve been working on,” Mr. Heaton remarked. “Clarkson gives us the space to do this properly, from the scale of the screens to the energy of the arcade and the quality of the food.”
Culinary Offerings with a Twist
The menu will feature classic American dishes such as burgers, wings, sliders, and share plates, all reimagined with Australian ingredients and flavors. The bar will serve signature cocktails, frosty pints, mocktails, and offer happy hour specials, catering to a diverse clientele.
The project, which received State planning approval in February 2025, is designed to accommodate up to 800 patrons. It will operate from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and extend its hours until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Dave & Buster’s, established in 1982 in Dallas, Texas, has grown to 170 locations worldwide, predominantly in North America. The Clarkson venue is part of a broader strategy to introduce five stores across Australia, a move that reflects the brand’s confidence in the Australian market.
