Live Design International (LDI) 2025 in Las Vegas has once again underscored the city’s reputation as a global hub for live production technology. This year’s event, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, attracted thousands of lighting designers, production technicians, system integrators, and live-event specialists from around the world. With a focus on practical, tour-ready innovations, LDI 2025 was less about the hype and more about tools designed by and for industry professionals.

Approximately 14,000 attendees and 350 exhibitors filled the expanded show floor, making the event feel vibrant and energetic. While Las Vegas also hosted the National Finals Rodeo and UFC 323, the lighting and production community firmly owned the week, transforming the Strip into a technical spectacle.

LDI 2025 confirmed its status as a key meeting point for the live production industry. Major lighting brands were present, showcasing their latest advancements alongside large-format LED manufacturers, rigging specialists, control system developers, and power distribution suppliers.

The Robe family stood out with a large-footprint stand, presenting next-generation products from Avolites, LSC, and Anolis. The Power Dolly, a rolling base with integrated battery power and wireless DMX, drew significant interest for its potential to revolutionize outdoor and remote installations.

Martin Professional introduced the MAC Encore 2 and the ELP Manet Fresnel, the latter being one of the most feature-rich Fresnels available. Meanwhile, ETC surprised attendees with a plethora of new products, including the Hog 5 console range and the reborn DataFlash 5000, focusing on depth, power, and practical design rather than spectacle.

Day Two Observations

Elation’s “Experience Tomorrow” stand won the Most Creative Use of Light Award, showcasing fixtures like the Paragon LT and Proteus Radius. Their push into high-output, IP5x-rated weatherproof units was evident, alongside the introduction of the Volt+ battery-powered fittings and the Helio Track, a cost-effective LiDAR-based follow-spotting system.

GLP’s massive 3,948,000-lumen installation, the JDC Maxx, was a visual highlight, while their new Nexxus range of wireless battery units offered versatility with magnet mounts and app/DMX control. Indu Electrical showcased essential power distribution solutions, and Australian company Event Lighting impressed with their PAR F range and latest haze, smoke, and scent machines.

Day Three Observations

Blizzard Lighting brought creativity to their stand, styled as an ’80s Apollo Mission ground-control center. Major US distributors like Inner Circle Distribution and ACT Entertainment showcased brands such as Claypaky, Madrix, and Chauvet, with impressive timed light shows and innovative products like the Maverick Force and Storm.

ROE Visual’s Omni Tube and Vanish Air LED products were standout transparent LED solutions, reflecting a broader trend of exhibitors focusing on real-world upgrades, lighter weight, faster setup, and smarter integration.
