Samsung Australia has announced the nationwide release of its latest Smart Monitor lineup, featuring the cutting-edge QD-OLED Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model). This launch also includes updated versions of the Smart Monitor M8 (M80F) and Smart Monitor M7 (M70F) models, all aimed at providing versatile solutions for work, entertainment, and gaming.

The introduction of the Smart Monitor M9 marks Samsung’s first use of QD-OLED technology within its Smart Monitor series. The 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display is equipped with a Glare-Free coating, designed to ensure consistent visibility and comfort even in brightly lit environments. Additionally, the M9 incorporates Samsung’s proprietary OLED Safeguard+, featuring a cooling system to reduce the risk of burn-in and enhance screen durability over time.

Advanced Features and Technology

With a 165Hz refresh rate and an ultra-responsive 0.03ms response time, the Smart Monitor M9 is engineered to handle a range of activities with clarity and minimal motion blur. Vision AI powers several adaptive features, including AI Picture Optimiser, 4K AI Upscaling Pro, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro, all tailored to enhance both picture and audio quality based on the user’s content and surroundings.

Neal Elliott, Acting Head of ProDisplay at Samsung Electronics Australia, highlighted the evolving demands of Australian consumers for versatile monitor solutions. “The Smart Monitor series continues to evolve to meet the needs of Australian consumers who are looking for premium monitor experiences that provide the best outcomes whether they are using it for work, entertainment, or gaming,” Elliott stated. “In pairing the best of Samsung’s QD-OLED display technology with the latest Samsung Vision AI features, the Smart Monitor M9 delivers a personalised experience with high picture quality and endless entertainment features, enabling Australians to work, watch, and play in style, all within a single, versatile display.”

Entertainment and Connectivity

The Smart Monitor M9 also functions as an entertainment hub, compatible with popular streaming platforms and offering access to Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Gaming Hub. The Gaming Hub supports cloud-based gaming, eliminating the need for an external console or PC. The monitor’s slim metal design is complemented by a Pantone Validated certification, ensuring accurate color reproduction under standard lighting conditions.

Expanded Range and Features

Alongside the M9, Samsung has refreshed its Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models to broaden access to its smart monitor experience. Both models feature 32-inch 4K UHD screens, utilizing Samsung’s advanced VA panel technology for detailed and contrasted imagery. The inclusion of Tizen OS Home allows for personalized recommendations and streamlined access to frequently used applications and inputs.

All three models integrate with SmartThings, Samsung’s platform for connecting compatible devices throughout the home. They also support Multi Control functionality between Samsung devices, as well as Multi View capabilities for displaying multiple inputs side-by-side, enhancing productivity and multitasking.
