Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre will play host to a major music festival.
More than a decade has passed since the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre last echoed with the sounds of a large-scale live music event. In March 2026, this iconic venue on Perth’s northern coastline will once again come alive with the Scarborough Beach Weekender, a two-day festival set against the backdrop of white sands and sparkling waves.
The event, scheduled for March 28 and 29, will feature a diverse lineup of artists from Australia and New Zealand. Presented by Palace J Entertainment, a local event group renowned for its vibrant productions, the festival aims to capture the essence of the West Coast spirit. Attendees can expect a relaxed beachfront atmosphere, complemented by an exclusive Sunset Lounge VIP package for those seeking a more intimate experience.
“Scarborough Beach is one of WA’s most iconic coastal spaces. Bringing large-scale music back to this venue after a decade is incredibly special, and the Scarborough Beach Weekender has been designed to celebrate everything people love about our coastline, live music, sunsets, and community,” said Jaylee Osborne, owner of Palace J Entertainment.
Reviving a Musical Tradition
The announcement comes as a significant milestone for the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre, which has been a dormant stage for major music events for over ten years. Palace J Entertainment, known for organizing popular events like Sets on the Beach, Wine Machine, and Origin Fields, is spearheading this revival. The festival promises to breathe new life into the venue, attracting both locals and tourists alike.
The lineup for Saturday includes reggae sensations L.A.B., Coterie, and Corrella, along with the soulful tunes of singer-songwriter Saritah and the Fremantle-based band Finn Alexander and the Forever Party. Sunday will showcase the talents of homegrown star Xavier Rudd, indie-folk trio Sons of the East, Vikki Thorn performing as Thornbird, surf-rockers Caravana Sun, and folk-pop singer Tia Gostelow.
A Community Celebration
The Scarborough Beach Weekender is more than just a music festival; it is a celebration of community and culture. A variety of community activations, local food vendors, and cocktail stations will enhance the coastal atmosphere, making it a holistic experience for attendees. The festival is designed to be inclusive, offering something for everyone, from music lovers to families enjoying a day out by the sea.
Pre-sale tickets for the event will be available starting December 16, with prices beginning at $99 for a single day experience. The pricing strategy aims to make the event accessible to a broad audience, encouraging participation from a wide demographic.
Looking Forward
The revival of the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre as a major music venue is expected to have lasting implications for the local economy and cultural landscape. Experts predict that the influx of visitors will boost local businesses and increase tourism in the area. The event also sets a precedent for future large-scale events, potentially establishing Scarborough Beach as a premier location for live music in Western Australia.
As the countdown to March 2026 begins, anticipation builds for what promises to be a landmark event in Perth’s cultural calendar. The Scarborough Beach Weekender not only marks the return of large-scale music to the area but also symbolizes a new chapter in the amphitheatre’s storied history.
Meanwhile, the success of this event could pave the way for more frequent music festivals and cultural gatherings at Scarborough Beach, further cementing its status as a hub of entertainment and community engagement.
