French audio manufacturer Advance Paris has unveiled the Apex series, a premium collection of amplifiers and hi-fi components, in celebration of its 30th anniversary. This new lineup is designed to offer a compelling mix of “form, function, and value,” according to the brand. The Apex series includes four models: the A8 Apex, A10 Apex, and A12 Apex integrated amplifiers, along with the ACD Apex CD player.
The launch of the Apex series marks a significant milestone for Advance Paris, which has been a prominent name in the audio industry for three decades. Each amplifier in the series employs a hybrid valve and transistor topology, aimed at delivering “precise dynamics, clarity, and detail.” This approach is a hallmark of the brand, known for its commitment to high-quality sound reproduction.
Innovative Features and Technological Advancements
The Apex series introduces several upgrades over Advance Paris’s more affordable Classic range. These enhancements include lower-noise power supplies, ESS Technology voltage regulators, and premium resistors and capacitors. The A8 Apex and A10 Apex models incorporate an ESS9018 DAC, while the flagship A12 Apex boasts the higher-end ESS9039 DAC, which the company describes as providing “ultimate audio fidelity.”
Connectivity is a key feature of the new series, with all three amplifiers offering HDMI eARC for seamless integration into home cinema systems and Bluetooth streaming from compatible devices. Additionally, the A10 and A12 Apex models include Bluetooth output capabilities, allowing users to connect to Bluetooth headphones or wireless speakers.
ACD Apex CD Player: A Nod to Tradition
The ACD Apex CD player stands out with its analogue tube outputs, which Advance Paris claims deliver “warm sound and authentic musicality.” This feature is complemented by a range of connectivity options, including XLR and RCA analogue outputs, as well as coaxial and optical digital outputs, catering to both traditional and modern audio setups.
