Good Charlotte will launch their world tour in Perth in February 2026.

In a move that aligns them with legendary acts like R.E.M. and Kylie Minogue, Good Charlotte is set to launch their world tour in Perth, Australia, in February 2026. The American punk rock band, fronted by twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, will kick off their highly anticipated Motel Du Cap World Tour at RAC Arena on February 17. This marks their first return to the Australian stage in eight years.

The tour will feature a string of performances across Australia and New Zealand, including stops in Brisbane, Bendigo, Sydney, and Auckland. Australian fans will be among the first to experience live renditions of tracks from Good Charlotte’s eighth studio album, released in August 2025.

“Australia is such a special place to Good Charlotte and to me personally, it feels like a home away from home in many ways, and we can’t wait to head back there for some big shows,” Joel Madden expressed enthusiastically. “It’s been far too long since we’ve spent time with our Aussie fans, we’re all in for a big treat.”

Good Charlotte’s Enduring Connection with Australia

Good Charlotte’s relationship with Australian audiences is not new. The band’s local success is marked by six albums reaching the ARIA top 25 and an impressive 12 singles making it into the ARIA top 40. Their connection deepened when Joel Madden served as a judge on The Voice Australia in 2015, with Benji joining him the following year.

Recognized for their anthemic hits from the early 2000s, such as “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and “I Just Wanna Live,” Good Charlotte’s return follows a hiatus during which the band members pursued various personal projects. Despite this break, they assure fans of a setlist filled with nostalgic favorites.

Family and New Themes in Music

In recent works, Good Charlotte has embraced themes of family and contentment, reflecting their evolution from the underdog image that initially propelled them to fame. Joel Madden, married to fashion designer Nicole Richie, and Benji Madden, married to actress Cameron Diaz, have both hinted that their families may accompany them on the tour.

The band’s current lineup includes Paul Thomas on bass and Billy Martin on guitar and keyboards, alongside Joel Madden as lead vocalist and Benji Madden on guitar and backup vocals. This cohesive unit promises a robust live performance that fans have come to expect.

Supporting Acts and Tour Dates

Joining Good Charlotte on tour are American alternative rock band Yellowcard and Australian band Kisschasy, adding to the excitement for fans. The tour dates are as follows:

  • February 17 — RAC Arena, Perth
  • February 19 — Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
  • February 21 — Bendigo Racecourse, Bendigo
  • February 25 — Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney
  • February 27 — Auckland Domain, Auckland

As Good Charlotte prepares to embark on this tour, no other global dates have been announced, leaving international fans eagerly awaiting further news. The tour represents not only a celebration of their latest album but also a reaffirmation of their enduring bond with fans worldwide.

With the anticipation building, the upcoming tour promises to be a memorable chapter in Good Charlotte’s storied career, offering a blend of new material and cherished classics that have defined their sound over the years.
