1000mtg-honors-top-australian-travel-advisors-amid-record-growth

1000 Mile Travel Group (1000MTG) has marked a significant milestone in its history by celebrating a record-breaking year of growth and honoring its top-performing independent travel advisors in Australia. This year, an impressive 20% of Australian advisors achieved over $4 million in sales, a substantial increase from the previous financial year.

“FY25 has been a defining year for our business. These results demonstrate not only the commercial success of our advisors but also the power of a supportive, flexible, and future-focused model,” said Nicola Veltman, CEO of 1000MTG.

Recognizing Excellence Across Categories

1000MTG announced the top performers for FY25 across various categories, including corporate, leisure, team, and rising star. The recognition underscores the diverse expertise within the group and highlights the adaptability of its advisors in a rapidly evolving travel industry.

With over 20 years of experience, Sam Rowe stood out in the SME corporate travel sector, showcasing his ability to navigate complex travel needs for small and medium-sized enterprises. Meanwhile, Kurt Hufer, a longstanding travel expert, emerged as the Top Leisure Expert, leveraging the high-end leisure segment and a strong focus on sports travel to drive his success.

In the team category, The Travel Team, led by Emily Davidson and Stephanie McDonald, was awarded the title of Top Team for FY25. Their collaborative approach and innovative solutions have set a benchmark for team performance within the group.

Spotlighting Rising Stars and Community Engagement

Highlighting the dynamic nature of the travel advisory field, Ben Jenke was named the Rising Star after joining 1000MTG just over a year ago. His rapid ascent within the company reflects the opportunities available for new talent in the industry.

Amy Crossland was recognized as the Most Engaged Expert for her significant contributions to the 1000MTG community. Since joining the network, she has been instrumental in delivering self-ticketing and Sabre training to fellow advisors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and support.

“This year’s results reflect the quality and professionalism of our advisor community,” said Lauren Gray, General Manager of 1000MTG Australia. “To see such strong performance from both long-established and new advisors shows that our model is working.”

Celebrating Success with a Unique Reward

The top performers were awarded a place on the Top Achievers Trip to New Zealand in October 2025, an event supported by partners Air New Zealand, Rosewood Kauri Cliffs in Northland, and Horizon by SkyCity in Auckland. This exclusive trip serves as both a reward and an opportunity for advisors to network and share best practices in a relaxed setting.

“The achievements of our advisors this year are a testament to their dedication and the robust support system we have in place at 1000MTG,” Veltman added.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Travel Advisory

The announcement comes as the travel industry continues to rebound from the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The success of 1000MTG’s advisors indicates a strong recovery and a growing demand for personalized travel services.

As the industry evolves, 1000MTG’s commitment to a flexible and supportive model positions it well to adapt to future challenges and opportunities. The recognition of both seasoned and emerging talent within the group highlights the potential for growth and innovation in the travel advisory sector.

With the travel landscape continually shifting, the achievements celebrated by 1000MTG this year set a promising precedent for the future, inspiring confidence in the resilience and adaptability of travel advisors worldwide.
