The 2026 Upfronts event at White Bay Power Station in Rozelle was a spectacle of entertainment and sports as Foxtel, Binge, and Kayo revealed their programming slate for the upcoming year. Under the theme “Oh So Satisfying,” the DAZN-owned platforms announced a diverse array of new and returning shows, alongside an impressive sports lineup.

Leading the charge are two new Australian scripted series, Run and Tough Love, and a groundbreaking reality co-production with the UK’s Channel 4, Apocalypse. The latter challenges participants to survive scenarios mimicking the end of the world. Returning favorites include Colin from Accounts, High Country, and beloved reality series such as Selling Houses Australia and The Great Australian Bake Off.

New and Returning Local Productions

Run is set to captivate audiences with its high-octane crime drama inspired by the life of infamous bank robber Brenden Abbott, featuring a star-studded cast including George Mason and Robyn Malcolm. Meanwhile, Tough Love offers a comedic take on adult siblings facing the challenges of self-sufficiency.

Returning series promise to deliver more of what fans love. Colin from Accounts will see Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer back in action, while High Country continues with Leah Purcell at the helm. Selling Houses Australia returns for its 18th season, with familiar faces Andrew Winter, Wendy Moore, and Dennis Scott.

International Offerings and Star Power

Foxtel and Binge are also expanding their international offerings. Notable new titles include the Melbourne-made thriller All Her Fault starring Sarah Snook, and the workplace comedy DMV featuring Harriet Dyer. The period drama Amadeus and the star-studded The Five-Star Weekend are set to draw in global audiences.

Returning international hits include the final season of the time-traveling epic Outlander and new seasons of Ted, Taskmaster, and The Great British Bake Off. The beloved Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will continue to deliver its trademark drama.

Sports: A Comprehensive Lineup

Patrick Delany, CEO of Foxtel, emphasized the platform’s commitment to sports, stating,

“We are Australia’s home of sport, bringing together an extensive breadth and depth of tier-one sports with world-class live game and show production.”

The lineup includes every game of AFL and NRL, major cricket events, and all Formula 1 and Supercars races, ensuring fans have access to an unparalleled sports experience.

Kayo Sports announced new partnerships, securing exclusive coverage of golf’s four majors and expanding its Supercars Championship Season. Cricket fans can look forward to a packed schedule, including a series against India and The Ashes on home soil.

Looking Ahead

As Foxtel, Binge, and Kayo prepare for an ambitious 2026, they are poised to deliver a mix of compelling storytelling and unmatched sports coverage. While some titles may debut in 2025, the platforms remain focused on providing a rich tapestry of content that caters to diverse tastes.

Absent from the lineup are shows like Real Housewives of Sydney and FBoy Island, which have been recently axed. However, with a robust slate of new and returning content, Foxtel and its partners are set to maintain their position as leaders in the Australian entertainment landscape.
