South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Ben Lovett has announced his retirement from rugby league at the age of 23, following a severe knee injury sustained during the NSW Cup grand final in 2023. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation, Lovett has been advised that he will not be able to return to his previous level of play, prompting his difficult decision to end his playing career.
The Rabbitohs confirmed that Lovett will transition into a staff role within the club.
