The new Porsche 911 Turbo S has made its debut, stepping into the spotlight with a legacy to uphold. Its predecessor was revered as the gold standard in the sports car realm, seamlessly blending performance, comfort, exclusivity, and everyday usability. Now, the latest iteration of the 911 Turbo S has raised the stakes, boasting enhanced performance, a more robust design, and cutting-edge aerodynamics. Available as both a Coupé and Cabriolet, this model is set to redefine expectations.
“The 911 Turbo S is the most complete and versatile way to drive a Porsche 911. Whether in daily use, on long motorway drives, or on the racetrack – we have been able to make the new 911 Turbo S even more comfortable, more individual, and significantly faster than its predecessor,” remarked Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911 and 718 model line.
Revolutionary Powertrain and Performance
The heart of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is its innovative Twin-Turbo T-Hybrid powertrain, delivering a formidable 523 kW (711 PS). This makes it the most powerful production 911 to date. The powertrain offers a maximum torque of 800 Nm, available across a wide range of 2,300 to 6,000 rpm. The vehicle’s acceleration is nothing short of impressive, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and a top track speed of 322 km/h.
This powertrain first appeared in the 911 Carrera GTS in 2024 and has since been refined for the Turbo S. The integration of two electric exhaust gas turbochargers (eTurbos) enhances both performance and responsiveness. Despite the additional components, the car’s weight increase is minimal, ensuring that driving dynamics remain exceptional.
Record-Breaking Performance
The Porsche 911 Turbo S has proven its prowess on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking a time of 7:03.92 minutes—around 14 seconds faster than its predecessor. Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, who played a key role in the car’s development, noted, “You don’t feel the weight gain. On the contrary – the car is much more agile, has more grip, and is significantly faster than its predecessor in all relevant sections of the track.”
Advanced Engineering and Design
The new 911 Turbo S is equipped with a state-of-the-art Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) system, which enhances agility and stability. This system, combined with the T-Hybrid powertrain, ensures the car remains balanced and predictable, even at high speeds. Additionally, the new sports exhaust system, crafted from titanium, not only reduces weight but also delivers an exhilarating sound experience.
Optimized Brakes and Tires
Porsche engineers have also focused on improving the vehicle’s braking and tire systems. The new generation of tires provides superior dry handling, while the Porsche ceramic composite brake (PCCB) system offers enhanced braking performance. The rear axle now features wider tires, and the brake disc diameter has been increased, ensuring the Turbo S can handle its increased power with ease.
Exclusive Features and Customization
The 911 Turbo S stands out with its exclusive design elements, including the Turbonite color accents reserved for Turbo variants. The interior is equally luxurious, featuring carbon-structured trim strips and a perforated microfibre headliner. Porsche offers a wide range of customization options, allowing owners to personalize their vehicles down to the finest detail.
In Australia, the 911 Turbo S comes with additional standard features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and a Parking Entry Package. The car is available for order now, with prices starting at $577,300 for the Coupé and $598,000 for the Cabriolet, with deliveries slated for Q2 2026.
The 911 Turbo S Timepiece
For enthusiasts looking to complement their vehicle, Porsche Design offers the Chronograph 911 Turbo S, a customizable timepiece that mirrors the car’s design. With a titanium case and a strap made from Porsche interior leather, this watch is a testament to Porsche’s commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo S is not just a car; it’s a statement of engineering prowess and luxury, setting a new benchmark in the world of sports cars.
